William S. Hein & Co., Inc. Honors Kevin M. Marmion, President, For 40 Years of Dedicated Service

BUFFALO, NY, April 30, 2010 - April 30, 2010 marks the forty-year anniversary of President Kevin M. Marmion’s employment with William S. Hein & Co., Inc.  The Hein Company is honored to have such a dedicated, career-driven, and admirable employee on its team.  Marmion has literally worked his way from the bottom of the organization to the top. He began his career at the company as a part-time warehouse employee in 1970 while attending the former Bishop Fallon High School in Buffalo.  His employment with the company continued while he worked toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Buffalo’s Canisius College. Upon his graduation from Canisius in 1975, Marmion became a full-time member of Hein’s Legal Periodical Department. Soon thereafter, he assumed the role of manager of that department.  He later served as company Executive Director, responsible for all front-office business operations and in 1986 was named Vice President of Operations.  In 1996 he was promoted to President and became solely responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the company.

As President, Marmion has been responsible for overseeing the operation of every division of the Hein Company including library services, traditional print products, microfilm, digital services and electronic services.  In May 2000, under Marmion’s tutelage, the Hein Company launched HeinOnline, the company’s most successful product ever, moving the company from its traditional roots into the digital age.  Marmion’s dedication, hard work and focus have made HeinOnline a leading award winning product in the legal research industry.

Marmion upholds the values represented in the organization’s mission statement; integrity and honesty, dedication to quality and service, corporate citizenship, commitment to excellence, valuing employees, teamwork and open communication.
