Cross Library Searching is Now Live Within HeinOnline's Law Journal Library

When searching in the Law Journal Library in HeinOnline, you will now see search results from journal titles found in the Kluwer Law International Journal Library, Part I: International Yearbooks and Periodicals of the Foreign and International Law Resources Database, and in ALI-ABA Publications which are found in Part III of the American Law Institute Collection. This cross-library searching will further enhance your searching experience in HeinOnline by retrieving and displaying results across all relevant journals and periodicals from these collections. Below is a brief video illustrating this new enhancement. To share a link to this video or embed it on your own site, visit our video library at http://www.screencast.com/t/JeDqah03Hb. Or you can continue reading for a full description and screen shots of how it works.

If you click on a link to a result and the result is within a collection you are subscribed to, you will be able to quickly link to the article. To identify the results that are from a collection outside of the Law Journal Library, we have shaded the result gray rather than blue. Additionally, we have added a line at the end of the result that indicates which collection the article resides in.

NOTE: The Kluwer Law International Journal Library, Foreign and International Law Resources Database and the American Law Institute Library are all a-la-carte libraries available as an addition to your HeinOnline subscription. In order to view the full text of the results from these collections, you must be subscribed to the collection within which the result resides. For more information about subscriptions to these libraries, please contact your sales representative or email us at marketing@wshein.com.

In addition to these modifications, we have given you the option of turning this feature off when doing a search in the Law Journal Library. From the search input screen, there is a checkbox at the bottom of the form that says "Include articles from other select HeinOnline collections in the search results". To disable this feature when doing a search, uncheck this box when entering your search criteria.
