HeinOnline Systems are Now Fully Functioning

HeinOnline's systems have returned to normal and are functioning at full capacity. All users should be able to log in or access HeinOnline as they typically would. We appreciate your patience as we worked through this. If you are experiencing any other issues, please contact us at holsupport@wshein.com.

Brief update on our system issues:

HeinOnline is still experiencing technical and server issues. Some of you may notice an impact on
your overall performance where as others may seem like you are unaffected. We are routing users to new servers to minimize the impact and provide full system access with browsing and searching capabilities across all 40 million pages.

However, depending upon your gateway, we may not be able to route you to the proper server. Users accessing HeinOnline via Serial Solutions, Shibboleth, or other third parties may not be able to function at full capacity due to the third party redirecting you back to the original server. These users may be unable to perform searches when directed to the old server. We are working diligently to bring the old server back to full capacity by the end of the day.

HeinOnline’s hosting partner is currently experiencing some technical issues. Our technical teams are working diligently to bring HeinOnline back to full system capacity as quickly as possible. During the interim, you may experience slow load times and/or delays in HeinOnline. You may also experience difficulty searching, resulting in search errors. Continue to check back and rerun your search query.

While we continue troubleshooting the problem, you will be navigating HeinOnline on our backup server. This will temporarily affect users who are logging in using the Shibboleth access management system, as you will be unable to log in to HeinOnline.
